Our view
 
The Bilstein B14 coilover kit is very well established in the market as the middle of the range, fast road / track kit to have. The bang for buck you get with this kit is in our opinion second to none.
 
Firstly, the kit provides great levels of comfort on the road. We would say from experience, its barely harsher than a set of Eibach Sportline lowering springs. Because the kit gives relatively soft spring rates coupled with proper gas shock development, you will find this kit massively out performs any bargain coilover kit for only a few £100 more on the road. The kit allows the wheels to be pushed into the tarmac down even the bumpiest of back roads, giving you excellent traction and very little harsh rebound. The kit allows the car to roll slightly into corners, transferring sufficient weight to the outer wheels that require the most grip. This gives the driver very reassuring feedback and the confidence to find the safe limits of the car without sudden changes.
 
When put into track conditions, the kit certainly holds its own, especially with a correctly set up vehicle. Again, allowing the driver to push the limits of the car and develop their driving skills without having to worry about the car making sudden changes of direction. Because the kit is height adjustable, it allows you to have your car corner-weight set up, further increasing cornering grip and stability. We highly recommend you do this, as we found the difference to be night and day!
