These are proper badge covers that fit over rge factory VW badge. They are made from ABS plastic and fit in place with adhesive tape. They do not effect the front assist sensor located inside the front VW badge.
 
They are a very easy DIY mod that greatly enhances the look of your car. They can easily be removed if need be with no effects to the factory badges.
 
Please Note - We have tested the badges on our own car and can confirm they do not effect the front sensor. Bare in mind however, many are experiencing issues with ACC / front assist on the Golf 8, this will not be related to fitting these badges. If you need to take your car to VW for front assist related issues, we advise to remove the badges prior to your visit to avoid any warrenty conflicts.
