The entry level Mk8 Golf R/CS hybrid is capable of over 500bhp and one of the few hybrids on the market that uses a larger high flow turbine wheel. It uses a larger 9 bladed turbine wheel with larger shaft, larger compressor wheel, upgraded bearings and reduced clearance CNC machining for efficiency.
 
This is the turbo that we fitted to our own Mk8 GTI Clubsport build, making a whopping 519bhp and 485lbft with the stock OPF back exhaust fitted. With a minimal difference in spool, this turbo gave us fantastic drivability, while carrying power all the way to 7300rpm.
