Returns Policy
BY PURCHASING A SPROGLEY MOTORSPORT PRODUCT, OR PURCHASING A 3RD PARTY PRODUCT FROM SPROGLEY MOTORSPORT, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.
Returning Sprogley Motorsport Products
1.0 Cancelling / Returning a product(s) within 14 days of purchase date
If you have an issue with your Sprogley Motorsport product, we understand that circumstances can change, or you just change your mind about a part you've ordered. You are within your right to cancel an order within 14 days of the purchase date, providing it has not been unpackaged. This could mean that it has not yet been dispatched from us, or you have received your order but it remains in its original packaging. The shipping cost of returning the product is to be covered by the customer.
If you have opened the packaging but the product is still in as-new condition, we are happy to refund a portion of the sale price, which will be 75% of the original sale price, excluding the shipping cost. This covers the cost of repackaging and/or stocking the product. The shipping cost of returning the product is to be covered by the customer.
If your product is used, fitted to the car and/or shows any signs of usage, marks or damage, we are unable to accept the return of the product and a refund will not be issued.
1.1 Cancelling / returning a product(s) after 14 days of the purchase date
Unfortunately, in most cases, we are unable to accept any returned products after 7 days of the purchase date, for whatever reason, unless there is a fault with the product. There will be no refund issued. If you have any issues, please contact us and in some circumstances, we may be able to resolve the issue.
1.2 Refund time scales
If you have paid with PayPal, your refund should be processed immediately after the set period of time, although it can on occasion take longer. If you have paid using a debit/credit card with Stripe Payments, the refund will take between 5 and 7 working days from the initial payment being made. If you have paid with Klarna, the refund can take up to 14 days to process. This is completely out of our control, so apologies for any delays you may experience in receiving your refund.
1.3 Product failures and issues
If a Sprogley Motorsport product has failed in any kind of way we are very happy to accommodate, providing the failure has happened within 60 days of purchase, and it is obvious to us that the issue lies with the product, not with the fitting and/or usage of the product. Some Sprogley Motorsport products are new designs and have undergone limited durability testing due to the time scale, so from time to time, we may occasionally see a part failure of some kind. If this is the case, we are more than happy to have the product returned and issue a full refund. Alternatively, we can also source you a new product or component as promptly as possible. Again, the customer will endure no cost. We would always prefer to fix or replace the damaged product, but you as a customer can be assured that you have either option in this circumstance. We hope that you as a customer can be understanding and work with us to sort out any issues you have as quickly as possible.
1.4 Subsequential damage caused by product failures
In addition to this, we have added this extra part to our returns and liability agreement which is important for any component engine side of the air filter (for example; MAF housings, CDTI DIY kits, SprogTech AMS Outlet sides etc.). For these parts, we must express that Sprogley Motorsport accepts no liability for any damage caused by fitting these components to your vehicle, you fit these parts at your own risk. We have to add this because some of these parts can potentially fail due to improper fitting, and subsequently cause damage to the engine/components. This is in no way portraying the inadequate quality of the product, it is simply to cover ourselves from misuse or potential sabotage using our products. Thank you for understanding.
1.5 Custom work & made to order parts/products
Although we will try and be as accommodating as we can, in the majority of cases, we won't be able to accept any return & refund of a custom-built part. As the part has been built to the customer's specifications, we will not be able to restock and resell the part. We will, however, work with the customer to rectify any issues or adjustments if need be, to ensure they end up with a product they are happy with. There will be rare occasions where we may be able to accept a return & partial refund under specific circumstances. A) If the product is in brand new condition, in the original packaging and with no signs of fitting or use. B) If we deem the product easy to resell. C) If this has been agreed upon between ourselves and the customer.
1.6 Sprogley Motorsport MAF Housings
All MAF housing kits, Sprogley branded or otherwise (Courtenay Sport etc) have gone through various development and testing to ensure they are fit for purpose. These tests consist of the following;
Flow testing, to ensure the products produce advertised performance benefits.
Calibration testing, to ensure tuners have no issues scaling the MAF sensor to suit.
Durability testing, to ensure the product is physically capable of its intended use. These consist of lateral load testing, longitudinal load testing and temperature testing. They have also been tested on a vehicle in extreme conditions over a number of months.
Dyno testing by Courtenay Sport, to make sure the product works perfectly in every way.
If a MAF housing is damaged by incorrect fitting or misuse, we will not refund the purchase before receiving the damaged product back, so we can investigate the failure. We will then make a decision as to whether the product has been damaged or failed of its own accord. We know from the various testing, over the space of a few years, that these parts are more than durable enough to never have any issues. There is also no way of us knowing for sure how the product was fitted, no matter what we are told by the customer. As we are sure most customers will understand, we can't afford to simply replace every product that is damaged in the fitting process.
If you have damaged your MAF housing during fitting, a replacement unit can be purchased from us for £40 plus £4.50 post (UK). Please contact info@sprogleymotorsport.co.uk to arrange this.
Returning other companies' products
As a third-party reseller of other companies products, we follow said companies' returns policies. If you have any issues with a product from that company, the returns process is to be dealt with by them and assisted by ourselves. We do not stock any other companies' products unless specifically stated for this reason, and all products are shipped directly from the supplier. We as a reseller are happy to assist as much as we can, but if the respective company's return policy is not followed, the returns process and subsequently a refund can not be fulfilled. If you are unhappy with a product you have purchased or have any issue with your product, please get in contact with the company from which the product came.
